Need a hotel room at 7am arrival - book an extra night or request for it?

Contact the hotel to request it. You will probably need to pay for the night before, but if you book the night before and don't get in touch with the hotel to let them know about your 7am arrival, there's a danger that they'll flag you as a no-show when you are not there the previous night, and give your room away entirely. I was told this by an airport hotel check-in person from a major chain when I had booked the night before for just this reason.
