Flew this flight just over two weeks ago, I paid about $75 AUD for the flight - with no checked luggage but the 12kg of carry on sufficed. Used Prioriry Pass to access the Concordia Lounge which had reasonable food and some nice mocktails on offer (no alcohol).

The flight was packed in economy. Was offered an upgrade to J for about $260 AUD at checkin (during document check - I had checked in online with mobile BP) which I decided not to take.

Never mind as I was in the queue to board got an SMS saying my seat number had changed. Please login to app to retrieve new boarding pass. An op up to Premium economy which was pleasant. Comfortable seats, choice of meals , some sparkling wine (Cava) and plenty of o/h locker space.

This was my first op-up on any airline since 2017. Interestingly, that previous op-up was on the same flight. Back when they didn’t have PE, it was to J.

However, beware that seat selection isn’t included on KLM award tickets booked via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

I flew a KLM reward seat booked via Virgin Atlantic last year (within Europe) and I was able to select seats via the KLM Website/App. I got the KLM PNR from somewhere (but cant recall exactly where) and that let me do all the usual manage booking functions via KLM

I could also manage the booking fine, but I had to pay for seat selection (which is what I meant by 'not included'). They wanted $16.66 for a standard Y seat, which was nothing compared to my previous flight on Garuda (they wanted $97 for a standard seat!!)

@WilsonM,
The notorious IDR exchange rate zeroes strikes again… you have one too many on the cost for entry into the lounge in DPS. Rp440,000 is closer to AUD42.

Sorry, I thought you meant couldn't select seats at all
