Vinomofo Wine Deals

Would be appreciated if anyone has current valid voucher code to share. Tried the recent ones but I didn’t have the luck.

I am looking at Schild Estate 'Old Vine' Shiraz 2020 and Juniper Cornerstone Cabernet Sauvignon 2017.

Some decent codes needed to get that one within range!
No idea where I got them, bonus of some sort but some birthdays, maybe referrals....there is a 3 pack with Blackwell, Faith and Garden of Eden on Cellarone for $59, I ended up with three packs for $92 :)

Thanks, got in at $21, got 3 cases of the price drops from yesterday.
3 cases = free freight!
I think you may have been better off doing 3 orders with $21off and paying $9.95 delivery fee for each.

Unless the coupon was the single use only.

Black Market Deal #46976 appears to be 2020 Burge Family Winemakers Reserve Draycott Shiraz. I see the cheaper 2018 Draycott Shiraz (not a "Reserve" version) was well regarded here in early Feb (now sold out).

I'm unfamiliar with The Burge Family label, but have plenty of Grant's efforts in the cellar. Any thoughts on the Reserve version?

Rick Burge sold the winery to Chinese interests, I think 2018 was his last vintage. I've bought and enjoyed many of his wines before then. I bought and enjoyed the 2018 Draycott. I bought and sent back the 2020 Draycott Reserve, but it could have been because the bottle I tried was slightly affected by cork taint leaving a hard, drying "furry" aftertaste, the rest if the wine character was fine. The wine was originally listed as being under screwcap, so that added to my annoyance when it arrived as cork-sealed.

I can't recommend 2018 Draycott Shiraz high enough. It is available for purchase cheaper on Winestar site here (still available)

I bought more as I thought it is the best Barossa shiraz for that money.

Thanks @redbigot - interesting. I tend to prefer screw cap these days.

I spoke with a wine maker in the hunter valley and he was talking about the frequency of issues they had changing from cork to screw cap. It went down 70% or so and that's on the manufacturing side, I imagine there are a lot less issues with screw caps. Knowing that I still like corks, I find it kind of "romantic" and part of the joy of drinking wine.

Yes, I find cork taint, premature oxidation, woody/musty/corky flavours all add to my joy of drinking wine. Or not. I do remember the joy on winemakers' faces when they've opened their cork sealed wine for you and found it tainted.

Cork quality has improved in the last 5-10 years, dropping the incidence of taint (yay!), but not the other issues.
