Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I went for the more “premium” option of 8x Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Willowlake Pinot Noir for $17.5 p/bottle after all discounts. Decent every day drinking PN is always popular in our home.

Must say I’m impressed by Boozebud delivery service.

When they gave the option of free delivery between 6-9pm (two days after the order) I was sceptical but tonight I received SMS from StarTrack when the parcel landed in Brisbane (at 7pm) then an hour later it was delivered in a cool 23 degrees evening.

I’ve ordered a lot of wine in recent years from a wide range of companies and none have offered evening delivery, including those who work with StarTrack. Btw their courier said it’s not a new service. Wish more companies will offer that, especially during summer.

Boomy, I’ve done a lot of online alcohol shopping as our rural town was without a pub for a while 😢
Boozebud were one of my favourites until they restructured their freight prices and rural addresses were shafted

With this awesome delivery service I would love to support them more, if they become more wine focused and update their catalog as it’s currently very limited.

Boozebud generally runs site-wide free shipping once every 2-3 months, could worth keeping an eye out on your email for those offers.

Another vote for Boozebud, when they started their operation was a bit chaotic, but the last few years the delivery was perfect and if there's any issue, the customer service will fix it right away and they generally give you additional credit as compensation.

Yes I've been impressed too. They also sell through catch and can sometimes pick up good discounts there. Now sold back to the original owners.

Yeah they don’t include rural areas in the free delivery deals anymore. Kills some of their specials for me. Still can get some ok deals even with freight on top when they run a good product discount

And just to clarify, that includes when its site-wide free shipping, or codes that say free shipping. Rural gets the $18.90 standard shipping (We are Toowoomba). I have had stuff sent to parcel collect when I was visiting 'metro' areas though.

Looking at getting some Seppelt St. peter’s from CellarDoor, they have the 2018 in a nice box but the 2017 seems to be a better vintage and both are available. Does anyone have any insight?

2017 was very marginally better in a tasting I did about 3 months ago; both in my opinion and the table's. Both were really good though so you can't go astray.

Unless you plan to gift the wine package doesn’t mean much, it will end up in the bin eventually.
