A question for the brains trust. I think I know the answer but wanted to check here too. I have searched other threads but haven't seen what I am looking to understand.
I have three trips for work this year to the US - these are for later in the year but within the current DSC period. Given the current DSC I wanted to understand whether I could book these all as flex (J or C bucket) and then closer to the confirmed dates (pending suitable available fare classes) change these to a lower bucket (D or I) and get the difference refunded?
I vaguely remember seeing a thread not all that long ago (tried to find it but couldn't) where someone had changed a flight and was offered to be booked in a lower fare bucket and would have pocketed the difference.
Thanks in advance.
