What little incident has occurred as you are traveling, which has stressed you out.

Mine occurred as I was waiting in the QF J lounge this morning when I rang my credit card company to find out why my credit card wouldn't work in an atm at the airport. I new there was plenty of money on it as I had loaded all my money onto it for my 4 week holiday to USA & Canada.

The response from some unidentified national from the back streets of Bombay informed me that my card had been cancelled at Midnight last night. Sorry, don't know why was the response when I got a bit shirty, but basically it was suck it up sweetheart. They will send a new card to me which I hope I will catch up with it at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport hotel in 2 weeks, (can't do anything any quicker).

Moral of the story.....dont put all your eggs in the one basket ( money in the one account )

Being moved from 80A on QF A380 at the boarding gate and handed a new BP for 81A :(. According to Mrs NM, my body language showed my stress and dissatisfaction of this re-seating

There is no 79A or 79K hence 80A or K has masses of leg room and is a highly sought after seat.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if you did OLCI for 80K and sat there anyway because you have proof in the form of a boarding pass that you had that seat.

Arrived at LAX recently with a 6hr layover, asked to be bumped to an earlier flight (3hr layover) and was handed boarding passes and told it was boarding now - GO!

Went from T5 to T6, security and raced to the boarding gate in less approx. 9mins - and Im a big gal, I don't move that fast but I was outracing my hubby. Arrived at the gate, hot and sweaty, out of breath and said, "did we make it!?" to be told they haven't started boarding yet.

Moral of my story, now my husband knows I can semi-run, he expects me to move faster and more often.

In France, I sent our clothes out for laundry and none of hubbys underwear was returned but he did get someone elses tiny sexy frenchman's boxer briefs - does that count?

I would suggest you would be pulled aside while scanning at the gate and you would fight it out B4 going onto the plane

I had exactly the same - but on the way OUT - sitting in the QP having our first bubbly when the CC company rang me to cancel my card. They got a replacement to me in Paris less than a week later but the stress levels on the flight Adl - Mel to connect to LHR were through the roof as I had preloaded the card with cash and made many bookings with it.

similar problem on a work trip to the US. thinking I could pack clothes for about half the trip and find a laundromat with 24 hr return I was caught out when it took over 5 days to get my stuff back. Also a busy schedule of meetings meant that buying new clothes was problematic.

still not gonna pay $9 to get one pair of my boxers washed by the hotel laundry service (and $4 per sock WTF !).

Something similar happened 3 weeks ago to me, went to use ANZ travel card and transaction got declined, luckily had another card i could use.

What gave me the pip was ANZ texted my phone to say it had been disabled, which i got when i returned to Australia 2 weeks later, why didn't they just email me.

ANZ lost me as a user

I already had the boarding passes for 80ABC for myself, Mrs NM and Mini-NM. At the boarding gate we received the dreaded "seating issue" message and asked to step to one side and were handed new boarding passes for seats 81ABC. That is when Mrs NM noted my stress levels dramatically change. I had preselected 80ABC 11 months earlier, and my dissatisfaction with having this seating change at the boarding gate was obvious by the steam pumping out of my ears.

I am normally a pretty stress-free traveler, but this seating change, and the poor way in which the following 15 minutes and the accompanying sequence of events panned out, certainly put my stress levels to the test.

So did they offer any excuse as to why this was done? I would be furious and seriously questioning why I was being moved in the cabin rather than to a higher level cabin.

I always make a copy of my BP (usually a photo) before boarding so if they are taken I still have proof that I was originally given the seats I had chosen.

Too many to list.

Seating gives me a lot of grief. And unfortunately my anger is not under control and I raise my voice when stressed.

I don't travel enough to get that many exciting experiences, the last one that caused me significant stress was being caught mid-transit during the Great Virgin Navitaire Crash of 2010. Having to compete with the other several-thousand DJ (as it was then) customers to find out about hotel bookings, meal reimbursements and the recovery flights they had to run the following day was great fun...

Oh JohnK. Lets list them. Friday nights. Seating. Manners. Feet Delayed flights. Golf clubs. Thailand....

80A was "required for medical reasons" by another passenger was the excuse given. But as you can imagine, the story (and stress levels) don't end there. After making it clear that I was not happy with this change, we were offered the use of 81ABC and 82ABC with boarding passes re-issued for seats 81A/B and 82C, so two blocks of 3 seats between three of us for a 17 hour flight, so we accepted that and boarded. Then we found, when actually on board, that the person with the medical condition was not actually occupying 80A. The person with the medical condition was already occupying 81A, with another member of their party (3 people traveling together) occupying 80A and they now made claim for 80ABC and 81ABC. So the stress levels again reached melting point as it became obvious to us that even row 82 for 17 hours was not going to be pleasant due to the unfortunate outworking of the poor chap now occupying 81A. While I felt truly sorry for the party now occupying rows 80 and 81, and understood why they had requested or been offered our seats, my own selfish streak meant that row 82 was far from acceptable for us for such a long flight.

Meanwhile the new Mr 80A was suggesting to the cabin crew that they will occupy 80A (him), 81A and 81B (mum and child with medical need for extra space) until after takeoff and then move 81AB to 79BC where they will have more space!!!! At this stage, nobody had come on board with boarding passes for 79BC.

I think the steam exiting my ears was starting to fill the galley as we stood waiting for the cabin crew to find a solution. And all this time I was carrying mini-NM who was asleep in my arms as it was now 11:30pm according to her already disrupted body clock. And all this time I was wondering if the new occupant of 80A was charged the $180 fee for the extra legroom seat that QF's new Easier and Fairer policies had imposed after I had pre-selected the seat for no additional charge. Perhaps I was gazumped by someone offering to pay the $180 fee that I had not been charged due to selecting it 11 months prior when I made the booking.

Boarding IST-KUL on a Sunday afternoon to be told that my Permanent Residency had 'expired' and would not be able to enter Australia on connecting KUL-SYD.
No-one awake at DIMIA. Unable to apply online for Resident Return Visa (even if it were possible in such a short time-frame) in IST lounge as keyboard incompatible.
Very stressful trip for me (& Mrs andye at home who did manage to submit an online application for me while I was in air). All sorted out fine by helpful staff at KLIA and boarded the planned flight. Very glad to have citizenship now
