    Before tax. You forgot to deduct income tax at your marginal rate. That'll knock off somewhere between a third and half. Not quite as big a differential then.

    One or the other. A "third region" is sometimes allowed, but never a fourth AFAIK. So South Pacific to Europe via Asia 1/2 or Doha.

    It's a tough choice between QF F or JL F at 80K and EY F at 100K. The 100K feels better, though, if you do MEL/SYD-auh-MLE-auh-LHR ;)
