When I did this in January it was 25,000 points.

However, when I went to MMB and clicked upgrade a few days ago, the page would not load due to a technical error at QF's end. Today I try hitting upgrade again and this time it is asking for 40,000 points to upgrade from PE to Business!

I'm booked in PE T Class which I'm pretty sure is the same as what I did last time. What's going on? Is this an IT glitch that means I should call them to ask to do the upgrade request on the phone, or has there been some change I'm not aware of in the last 4 weeks?

BTW, the QF webpage on international upgrades doesn't even have a single category where the upgrade price is 40k points from any class!

It's still 25K for PE to J.
40K is for discount Y to J.

Master FM's girlfriend upgraded from PE to J last Saturday (hong kong to Sydney) and it was 25k then.......

I've put in for SIN-BNE upgrades for Mrs_O and I from Y+ to J and they are 25k points each. Different city pair, but same zone as HKG-SYD.

I also paid the 40k for Y- to J on HKG-SYD only 2 weeks ago, so something is definitely amiss with your booking. I'm sure a phone call will fix it :).

Yesterday when I logged in again it said 'the system is having problems with your booking'. Today it said my fare was not upgradeable.

So I rang the call centre and the processed it straightaway - the lady said there had been some recent glitches in the system. Fingers crossed that it comes through! With 9 seats still open in J it should be a good chance.
