Thought it might be fun to list the A380's youve been on and which was the best experience

SQ CDG-SIN Business was the best for me, catering, staff and seat all very good
QF SYD-HKG-SYD Business close second which included the Flounge
MH KUL-LHR Business poor seats but service quite good

I have another trip with SQ SIN-CDG-SIN and EK BNE-AKL in January and am looking forward to it.

I seem to be fated to fly on VH-OQC with QF! Does anyone know the rego for my first 2 A380 flights?

My return flight on QF10 in November 2010 was replaced by B744 aircraft due to the A380 grounding after the QF32 incident in October 2010.

My experience is limited to Qantas, but have flown in F, J and Y (but not PE yet). Easily the best was the upgrade to F on QF127 SYD-HKG on 16 November this year. J on the return leg was also great.

I did QF1 / QF2 SYD-DXB-LHR return earlier this year in Y, in the new mini-cabin at the rear of the top deck. Also very pleasant, particularly as I have F lounge access.

Have also done Y on the main deck on QF127 to HKG.

My A380 flights:

4/10/2013 LHR - SYD QF2 Qantas A380-800 VH-OQC Paul McGuinness
4/09/2013 SYD - LHR QF1 Qantas A380-800 VH-OQA Nancy-Bird Walton
25/04/2012 LHR - SYD QF2 Qantas A380-800 VH-OQC Paul McGuinness
30/03/2012 SYD - LHR QF1 Qantas A380-800 VH-OQC Paul McGuinness
19/05/2011 LHR - SYD QF32 Qantas A380-800 VH-OQH Reginald Ansett
1/04/2011 SYD - LHR QF31 Qantas A380-800 VH-OQE Lawrence Hargave
2/10/2008 LHR - SIN SQ317 Singapore Airlines A380-800
12/09/2008 SIN - LHR SQ322 Singapore Airlines A380-800

All flights in Y except for QF1/2 in 2013.

The first flights, in the upper deck Y of SQ were fantastic, and I was converted after that.

The trips this year in J on QF were also great.

I have not yet stepped foot on an A380 and have no bookings for 2014 on one either. Being in Perth sort of limits the options.

QF 9 MEL SIN 1A
QF 10 SIN MEL 2A
QF 127 SYD HKG 13A
QF 128 HKG SYD 12K
QF 11 SYD LAX 4A
QF 12 LAX SYD 1A

The only one I can remember was VH OQA and that was on QF 128.

One only:

QF LAX-SYD

Cattle class. And it sucked. The '47 seemed much quieter (mind you in Y+ it probably was). Every so often it sounded like the engines would spool up a bit and be louder, then drop back off a few minutes later. Might have been control surface air disruption during course corrections. Who knows. But it was bugging the hell out of me and Mrs VC. Little Miss couldn't have cared less.

I've done:
QF J, PE and WhY.
80a/k in whY makes it a good flight.
Emerald City being the pick of the J cabin, had the best service in these seats.

EK J
I've had a couple of different types of their J fit out with slightly different seats, the table being the most noticeable difference.

SQ J
Service from the Singbots is great but the seats are rock hard and the whole change to sleeping mode kinda sucked. Meals were top notch.

Overall the latest EK J is the best, stellar service, the rear bar is awesome and a great seat. 23k or 23a being my favs.

I'd like to try BA and LHs A380s heard good things. I'd also love to try LHs 747-8!

QF9 MEL - SIN PE
QF10 SIN - MEL J
I was booked in Y on QF10 and didn't get upgraded, not even at the fancy dedicated check in they have in SIN. After I boarded the plane and took my sit, the CSM came to me and said this is the last A380 flight from SIN to MEL and invited me to go up and take a seat in the J cabin to celebrate this special occasion in style. It was a very nice gesture and a memorable flight for me.

Never really kept a log as such, although somehow, Nancy is the one I've been on most by far. I guess the other notable mention was VH-OQC, where my first and only flight was HKG-SYD right after its reconfig, with some very dodgy wiring evident - they couldn't even connect up the right reading light to their respective pax switches.

QF Y MEL-LAX
QF Y SYD-HKG
QF J SYD-HKG
QF Y SIN-MEL

Will soon do QF PE on it HKG-SYD too.

Just one, so obviously the best.. :)

Thai TG 930 BKK-CDG in J (think 23A or so)

Re:

In April 2009 I flew the A380 for the very first time. It was on QF SYD-LAX in J. My partner and I were in seat 13A/B and it was her first time in any type of J cabin so it was really cool to be up there for 14+ hours.

A few months after that we flew EeeeeeeK Y (syd-akl-syd) and SQ Y (syd-sin). I don't like talking about Y ... so I shall move on.

2010 saw us fly QF two times to SIN, in J.

Flew some more QF in 2011 to SIN, once in J .... and then later, I flew Y and my partner had her F upgrade come through.

2012 flew QF Y to SIN three times

Early 2013 allowed me to fly ICN-LAX-ICN on KE F. That was pretty awesome!!

And in September, managed to fly FRA-BKK with TG F. That was pretty nifty too!!

I don't get to fly much but the A380's are my favourite planes, purely because I am fascinated by its super-size!!

Re:

You're lucky your in a city where so many A380s fly to, I'd like to fly on them more but you have to try a lot harder to get on them when you live in Perth...
