Recently I took a late evening flight HKG-SIN with the starter plus package - primarily to get a QF ~ and a few miles while I still have status.

As I was tired I really didn't worry about meal / drinks and slept about half the flight. But after looking at the ticket confirmation again (where are the miles QF?) I note that the starter plus pack does include a meal. The FA did spend a fair bit of time looking through the passenger list prior to handing out the heated al-foil containers that pass for a meal on 3K. I was ignored totally.:(

Did I need to mention the word "meal" at check-in? or to the FA? A can of Sprite would have satisfied me...

3k still do a meal and a drink for plus fares Fare Types | Jetstar

To clarify the original post ---

The ticket was purchased early November and the confirmation contains the reference in the "Extras Legend" Meal - Meat

As well as referencing my QF FF #, my luggage allowance and my (extra payment) seat number

Looks like I should have stopped an FA and asked for the desired beverage

must be very recent..my flight next week states meal on my ticket and was only issued midweek!

This meal change seems to have screwed the booking engine.

I can't for the life of me work out how to book a per-sin leg with plus pack but no meal, except via iPhone. When you do it via iPhone, the booking fails.

If you use iPad or computer, it requires you to select a meal then charges you accordingly.

Then spent an hour and thirty on hold to them via Skype. Which is obviously also broken as I had a friend in Au call (real phone) at the 75min mark and they got through almost straight away...
So annoyed right now, but it's not me flying them so have no choice but to persevere.
