Does anyone know how strict they are on the minimum income of $75000 for the signature card?

Looking at some other threads elsewhere, it seems as if they may just offer you the platinum card instead.

Well just got of the phone to Citibank and they have put in my upgrade request from my platinum card for fee free for life signature card should know in 7 to 10 days apparently.
I was mainly interested in the card for the compliment y airport lounge passes, but lord behold the only place one can use that is in Melbourne and not any other Australian city lol why was I not surprised, oh well at least
I will earn more points per $ spend. will keep you all updated.

To the gurus on here, as far as I can tell the Platinum card can't be linked to QFF, is that right? I'm about $8500 short of the income requirement for Signature, so debating whether to take up the plat now and hope for a free upgrade later.

QFF is available for a fee of $49 per year

Correct, no Qantas for Platinum.

This looks pretty appealing - a 1:1 QFF transfer with no cap and no annual fee ever. Just wondering if any current citi card holders would share how the customer service experience is - both generally and when responding to things like lost cards when traveling overseas?

Also, while 55 interest free days is good, "the interest free days are only available if you pay the balance of your previous statement in full at the time it is due". Is this pretty standard or does it differ across different cards?

QFF is $49/year, and remember ATO gets you no points.

universal across every card you have or exists.

With respect to your first query, whilst I don't have personal experience, many on here suggest the service is less than desirable!

With respect to your second query, that is standard for every card.

Signature is an "ultra premium" card and seems to have different customer service people. I find service is exceptionally good. The same better service now applies to my Citi plus account as I am a "valued customer".

Spent approximately 30 minutes on the phone yesterday applying for the fee free signature card - painful but I hope worth it.
I already have a signature card so will need to cancel that when the new one hopefully arrives.
I was led to believe that I would need to send in financial information even though they have a credit history for me as I have been with them since 2005.
Practically immediately after the request was submitted I was contacted by Citi saying I didn't need to do the paperwork - they were going to accept my credit history that I already have with them. I also have been alerted that they have done a credit check on me.
I am waiting to see.

I applied the card on Tuesday night, and tonight (Thursday) I already received and activated and used my new fee free Signature card! I am existing customer so they waived checking my ID/salary documents and sent me the card straight away! 2 days is a record!

I have both cards, was about to dump the Platinum though. Any idea where this originally came from, whose family and friends is it really intended for (and I dont just mean OzBargain). May have to get my wife onto this though lack of signon points is a bugger.
Being promoted on Facebook.

cough I missed that one.
Don't happen to have a list of exclusions?

International Spend means any Eligible Transaction mad

Big thank you to whatmeworry, great find which I am happy to take advantage of.

It is Citibank after all, my previous dealings with them leave me half expecting to see the annual fee charged on my first statement, followed by long phone calls to Citibank in Kafkaesque loops trying to get the thing resolved in vain, and then me cancelling the card in frustration. Certainly hope that's not the case here.

Anyone know if you already have a Priority Pass membership through your Amex whether you can just link that to this for the two lounge passes, or do you have to apply again?

I have the two pass Priority Pass free through another card - whilst I don't know, I suspect you won't be able to either have two memberships, or add two passes to existing membership. I.e. I suspect you won't be eligible. Would be happy to be proven wrong!
