hi brains trust,

which rewards program can i use to book a flight between the above 2 cities?

i have Qantas, Singapore, Virgin Australia and Virgin Atlantic points...

i went to the above websites and tried to plug in the cities, but didn't have much luck (i.e. the cities didn't exist). i think this is because an alliance partner flies the route rather than the program i'm in (e.g. Lufthansa for Star Alliance)

TIA

BA have flights LHR-YYZ. You should be able to book award flights on Qantas website.

To see YYZ on QF website you have to tick the box next to:"can't see you city" in the calendar pop-up window.

You can use Qantas points to travel with BA. First class is 78,000 points + £337.25.

How did you find that as I cant see it as an option. Many thanks :D

Can only see it as an option as a classic award but try booking it !!!!

I assume you have exhausted your LH points/miles and are also a member of KrisFlyer, hence the Singapore points?

You should be able to book any Star Alliance carrier from any Star Alliance points program (subject to usual quirks of each program).

Look for Air Canada flights redeeming via SQ / KrisFlyer.

thanks all.

ended up booking/paying for Y+ on BA as was kinda urgent and wanted direct flights.

many thanks for showing how to show the partner cities on qantas - i hadn't previously seen that tick box - will be very useful in the future. pita they only offer connecting flights and not the direct, well for the dates i was after anyway.

rooflyer - i assumed LH as they came up as the cheapest on expedia and i know they are part of star alliance. they were actually AC flights with the codeshare numbers.
