Hi all,

It is certainly not cheap, but it is prob the quickst way. There are posts about other bus options somewhere on here - ill try and find it.

Go card trick?
Its just being really dodgy and scummy and touching on with only a little amount of money on it. It isnt really worth the hassle to BNE CBD, but train to OOL it saves like $20-$30

If you reload card then are you not hit with the $20-30 you used?

Take the T-Bus to the DFO. Get on local bus 590 from there, and ride to Toombul shopping centre. Change at Toombul for a bus to the city, or walk over the road to Toombul trains station and take a train to wherever you want to go.

Yep. Been there, got the T-shirt. Just watch the times of the buses from DFO to/from Toombul though & make sure they operated within your timeframe.

The bus-stop where you disembark the T-Bus at DFO or Skygate as it's now referred to is the same bus stop that the 590 leaves from.

Hitching onto this thread, what's the quickest way from BNE domestic to Kangaroo Point?
Flight arrives 0810 need to be there by 0900

Taxi via the Airport Link and Clem 7 takes 12 minutes, Airtrain and then catching the 227/232 bus from Wickahm St outside Fortitude Valley Station will usually take 40 minutes.

Train from Domestic to City is ~$16 and you do not need a Go card. It takes ~23 minutes to get to Central and ~27 minutes to Roma St Station.

If you want to take T-Bus to DFO and then 590 to Toombul and then either the 300-301 bus to Central or walk across the road to Toombul station and take the train. I have done this many times and currently it takes ~1 hour to get into Central but last service from airport is 6:00pm. Cost with Go card is ~$3-$4 depending on time of day and if you have already done the 9 trips for the week then it is free.

Appreciate the info but I'm buggered!
The flight gets in at 1955hrs
I will take the Airport train to central or is it roma?
I then need another train out to Cleveland and then taxi from there ahhhhhhhh!
Is it cheaper to use the GOcard all the way or pre-purchase the train trip online?
I know cab would cost $120 to where I need to go.

Grab a go card, and catch the train to with Roma St, Central or even Fortitude Valley where the same platform is looking after the Cleveland trains.

Get them to take the tunnel as for the extra $ it will save time (as no-one uses the tunnel) vs going up through the valley and via storey bridge.

I did say Airport Link and Clem 7 which are the two toll tunnels, adds are $4.47 for the Airport Link and $4.15 for the Clem 7,
While the airport toll is $3.30, all three should be added to the distance charge. Not sure where you want to go in Kangaroo Point, the tunnel exists at Wellington Rd after taking the Shafston Ave exit, where the taxi can easily backtrack to the pub or bridge area. Know the area well, I live there!

I'm going to RACS at Shafston Ave (56 I think). Just a bit worried that arriving BNE at 0810 is cutting it fine, although the alternative was the 0630 JQ flight up there and that's a bit early.
