I wonder if Melbourne will take offence at the Gold Coast calling its light rail the "g"

I happened to be in Gold Coast the past few days and was stuck in traffic along the tram tracks on the way to OOL airport yesterday due to the works... I'd read it as G Drive though.

There's FREE t-shirts?! :p

Where? :)

Funny as it doesn't go to the airport, stops a long way short ;)

Stage 2 does, maybe starting early.

Yeah, if they can get the money or let the Chinese have free reign over the system (which I'm all for). But I thought stage 2 was actually the connection to existing infrastructure (university to Helensvale station) with stage 3 being the Southward extension. Such a stupid idea to build a brand new line that doesn't connect to existing public transport, other than buses, which could be the same speed.

Either way, would like to see a line up to Nerang from Broadbeach, running past the stadium for Commonwealth Games, that'd make more sense :p or even the stadium down to Robina.
