Hi first time post. Mum and I flew MAH a few years ago and don't intend to fly between now till December. We have some points accured, about 10000? is there anything we can do with the points?

If not, does anyone want them?

I believe there is a fee imposed on points transfer.

I dont think you can get any international flights with that. You may be able to get one way really short but top up with money. If you want to transfer, for 10k points will cost 400rm so thats about 130-140 AUD. Then there is admin fee of 40rm as well.

10k points is enough for a zone 1 one way flight. That includes domestic flights in Malaysia and international flights to Singapore (from Malaysia). It may be worth the OP's while to ring the MAS call centre and ask whether that is enough points for a one way domestic flight in Australia and, if it is, they can book it for them.
