I have a BKK-SYD F redemption in October. It is my first time ever flying F and I wanted to depart from BKK as I wanted the full TG F ground experience. The flight leaves at 19:20.

I am staying in Ko Lanta the night before so have been looking at buying a separate rev ticket to fly up earlier that day, on either Thai Smile, or BKK Airways, which are the 2 airlines that operate this route.

My options are as follows:

Thai Smile 10:10-11:30
BKK Airways 11:40-13:05
Thai Smile 16:20-17:40

None of these are really that convenient. The 10:10 flight gets me in very, very early and I have nothing to do for the afternoon except almost 8 hours of F Lounge.
The 11:40 flight gives me a slightly longer sleep in but it's the last direct flight of the day and its a separate airline so I would avoid missing check in for my F flight.
The 16:20 flight, even if I can through check the bags gives me well under 2 hours in between flights which I think will be too rushed.

I know the TG F Lounge is one of the best in the world and I'm happy to recollect bags and head to the TG F check-in for the full experience but, even with a massage I suspect I will get very bored - there's only so much you can eat and drink before boarding a flight and doing the same thing.

Which flight would you go for? I can fly out of HKT where there are a lot more flight options but it takes much, much longer to get from Ko Lanta to HKT so it would make a long day even longer.

I would go for the middle flight.
Had a similar choice to make recently and I went for the one which gave me 8 hours transit in SIN as opposed to 2.5-ish hours because I just like to be safe.

But yeh it would be nice if in your case if there was like a 2pm departure lol

Enjoy the TG F lounge like you, I have heard it is amongst the worlds best too
