QF2 LHR-SYD J.
Just wondering what the procedure is for the transit/refuel in DBX.
Is there a Declaration Card to complete for arrival (I'm guessing no).
Does carryon luggage get taken off the AC, then get X-Rayed at Security prior to reboarding.
Are there Declare & Nothing To Declare security gates?
Does QF use the EK lounge.
thanks.

It is a relatively painless process.

All carry on luggage must be taken off the aircraft.

No paper work to fill in. No need to declare anything as you will only be transiting.

Flying J you will be able to use the priority lane for security screening which is done after disembarking.

You go up the escalator and look for the signs for the airport lounges.

The J lounge is above the F lounge floor and occupies the entire floor of the terminal. (QF uses the EK lounges.)

Reboarding is commenced from the J Lounge. Your BP will be scanned, hand luggage checked, and you will get into a lift that will take you directly to the Aerobridge.

All in all it has been a painless experience for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed the terminal at DXB.

Thanks TH, just making sure I know the process. I will have restricted prescription meds being carried (literally only 1 sealed tablet with box, script & Dr's letter).
