ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

To London and back there is one Saver and at least one Standard per A380 fight unless something has changed.
I have 2 x Suite Savers secured MEL-SIN-LHR June 2014 - 2 indeed available - aren't one of the 380s on LHR route slated to be removed and replaced with 787 or sumpin? Will be really interested to try SQs new F at some point in time.

Now that is good news for taxpayers!
Yes June and July that I checked each have at least 2 Suites per flight on Saver.

We are using Black Altitude and soon Black Earth as well as 2 Platinum Krisflyer cards from Westpac.
...
Have you figured that just over $60k gets you a Saver seat on SQ Suites to London or Los Angeles?
It is making it harder to be home. That run for us is out of Singapore of course as no A380s run out of Perth.
We are using Black Altitude too and so far very happy with that.
Have travelled with SQ before and found availability fabulous.
Would love to travel in a Suite, but we travel with a 5yo so I really need to find a F ticket that allows at least two people to sit together. Any suggestions anyone?

No, then I would need 4 tickets. There is no way my little QF Gold member would ever allow anyone to possibly sit in a seat better than hers (yikes that makes her sound like a brat - which she is not).

Really, I am happy to sit in J and travel more often, and travel as a family.

I was happy to go in First and put the kids (11 & 14) in economy to save a few points.

Mrs Pukka said no :(

We're the same - always looking for x 4.

Over the years have found BA F via BKK (now gone) & SIN have been the juiciest low hanging fruit. Now they service OZ with NF birds (new F cabin) and fly out of T5 - CCR access is a bonus.

BankWest are still paying but watch out for your anniversary start date when you are near your 12 month 200,000 points cap.
I messed that up by a few days so was over the limit on the date I paid a small ATO bill.

QEDRCC still working with points posting again this month from ATO payments...

Hoping that everyone is being "clever" with this card and not pushing it too hard with ATO...!

I know how that feels - for the past 9 years the MIL has tagged along. No more - the legs are slowing down:(

hey cove how does the conversion work to SQ points? e.g. i see the altitude black earns 3 points/ $ for AMEX and 1.25 points/ $1 for the M/C. is this a straight 1:1 for SQ (and others) points, or does it have a built in devaluation similar to citiselect?

thanks newk.

so if i had a $10k tax bill it would be either
AMEX - $145 fee, 30,000 westpac points which converts to 15k SQ points 0.096c/SQ point
M/C - $48 fee, 12,500 westpac points which converts to 6250 SQ points 0.0768/ SQ point

is that correct?

Over here in the UK we can points manufacture on HMRC spend however it's a bit of a roundabout way of doing it!

cove, using the same method you can prepay your Council Tax, Sky & BT bills too.
