Hi all. I was wondering if someone could enlighten me on the following. My much better half and I finally booked our annual trip to Osaka to see her parents. Date of departure is December 27 this year. Usually fly MEL - OOL -KIX.
- JQ Business.

Because of dates and flight schedules this time we will go via Cairns. Had been meaning to book it for a few weeks and finally last Tuesday, June 18th we booked.
The next day (not even 24 hours later) we were looking for flights with friends who were looking to come over to Osaka around the same time. You could have knocked me over with a feather - exactly the same fare had gone up by just over $400.00! - each.
It was interesting to note that economy had dropped $50.00

Was the Business cabin filling up too quickly and economy not quick enough thus the price changes?

You probably took the two cheap J fare bucket seats, there won't be many at that time of the year.

It doesn't happen with QF/JQ.

It's probably 2/3rds full already and the same cabin on Christmas day was completely full.
