Free Global Roaming SIM

I've been using one of the ekit sims for years now and have really found it a wonderful travel tool.

Mostly all good, but just a few tips. I'd love to hear from other users on their Global Roaming sim tips.

Here are a few of my observations.

1. All of Europe, Canada, US, UK, Japan, Middles East, Africa and Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong have pretty good rates.
2. The notable exceptions for poor rates is India. Thailand, Macau and Taiwan not so much.
3. If you travel to many countries, then it is great. If you travel to just one or 2 countries, then maybe buying a local sim from that country is better. But if you travel to many countries, then for your work and family, this has performed well.

How much does it cost?
Rates are based on kilobytes of data used, and start from $0.49 per MB (or 4.8c per 100KB). The minimum charge is for 100KB and further usage is charged in increments of 100KB. A minimum charge of 50c per session applies.

can someone else confirm i'm reading/calculating this correctly...500MB of data would cost $250?

If I read correctly, you can buy "data bundles" that for $69 you would effectively get ~290MB (so about $0.24/MB) and $119 would get you ~725MB (~$0.16/MB).
(Calculations are based on countries that have best data rate of $0.49/MB - EU/UK/US)

As browski mentions, looks like best value is if you travel through several countries, otherwise, as always, local sims are better value.
