With rumours floating that EK's next US destination from DXB will be Miami, does anyone think it will be a QF Codeshare?

I feel the need to start travelling back to Florida to see family/friends on a regular basis but at $12,000 J fares it's steep!

For those of us on the AU West Coast it would be more preferential than the current 2 stop via MEL/SYD!

Nope, they don't code share on any other US routes so why would Miami be any different?

I was really hoping more US routes in general as opposed to just MIA.

Hi Rok, EK already fly to:

New York
Los Angeles
San Fransisco
Seattle
Washington DC
Houston
Dallas
(and maybe Miami this year)
(and also Toronto in Canada)

That's a lot of cities. Exactly where else would you like to see them fly to?

You need to read his reply in the context of the thread, as opposed to isolation. When read in context what OP wants the US destinations as Qantas codeshares.

I know of those routes, I was hoping more for codeshares as opposed to just points earning routes, however it appears to be unlikely.

I might have to just settle for eating points only and maybe do a SC run while in the USA each time.

I'm pretty sure there are no plans for US codeshares because of the existing codeshare arrangements with AA via QF flights from the BNE/SYD/MEL.
Are there US cities not covered by an AA codeshare?

No, I can do a code share PER-SYD/MEL-LAX/SFO-MIA and earn points & SC's, it just means going East and having a minimum of 2 stops.

It would of suited me to go PER-DXB-MIA. Not to worry though, no big deal. Will just have to go via SYD/MEL.
