Made platinum today! Partner Gold?

Well it's been quite a week for me. Made platinum with Virgin Australia last Thursday and today did the same on Qantas

Just wondering where I go to allocate a partner gold membership to my wife. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Any tips on how to make the most of Platinum?

Partner Gold is when you reach 2400 SC's in your QFF year.

Nah, just do the flying you did for Qantas, again in the same membership year.

Of course some of us may prefer the bonus 50,000 QFF points rather than partner gold.

Well so far I've noticed QF has one less "press 1" option when using 131313 and answer the phone "Qantas Premium".

Virgin has the same number of options but hold times are less and answer "Velocity Platinum".

Virgin's welcome kit arrived within 5 days which was impressive & Hilton complementary status with VA has been approved already.

Well done on getting dual WP. I remember reading about your status run to Gold a few months ago, thats a lot of flying.

Well done on WP. Hope you notice an improvement in the service you receive, although reports on these boards are mixed, I find that I get better service as WP on mainline QF.

Hitting 2400 SCs triggered the offer automatically but after a discussion with my youngest son who flies business class on QF points I grabbed the 50,000 bonus points instead of the Gold upgrade.
