Hi All

have searched the forum and the VA website, with no luck....so would appreciate your help.

i am wanting to upgrade SYD to HBA, and due to schedule can only use the flight via Canberra. In the past this has been a Zone 2 redemption, at 7400 points.

Booked the Flexi today, as a through fare, and when I tried to upgrade was told I needed to use points SYD CBR and then CBR to HBA making it 12300 points. REALLY?

Does this reflect the experience of anyone else.

Yes, they changed this when they modified the way 'sectors' were defined.

This is the downside of the "earn SCs per sector" change that was introduced on January 16.

I assume the half price points upgraded ended at the end of 2012??

Hi, is this confirmed in the T&C's I cant see any changes ? Am a little bit surprised if this is the case. Did an upgrade on march 4 LST-MEL-PER @9900 pts going by what the OP is saying I should of been forking out 9900+4900.

That's a fair point - I can't see it inthe T+C's either (except for long haul). Can anyone else remember where this was mentioned posted?

Business isn't offered LST-MEL so that would explain that :)

Correct, We got Business class seats though. and in my opinion better service than QF MEL-HBA in J. No meal but an offer of anything off the menu.
