Hi Everyone,

Im soon to be a Qatar Silver member and I wanted to ask how I can expect to be treated. Does it vary from QF or VA as I am both gold with them.

I am aware of the benefits but wanted to see if there were any extras I dont know about like free upgrades etc.

Super.

Im QR burgundy which doesnt get me much at check-in, only a bit of extra baggage. I've heard that if you check-in in DOH you'll get treated a bit better. Im aiming for QR silver by the end of the year. Its going to be good when they join OW, with Ruby OW status.. QC flying JQ with QR Silver seems a weird combination!

JQ aren't a oneworld member or affiliate, so you won't get any benefits with them if you hold status with QR.

Whoops! My understanding was you could get QC access flying with OW Sapphire on JQ metal with a QF codeshare flight number...

I've stopped flying Qatar I found them a great airline in the air but I had so many problems with their staff on the ground in their call centers that I decided to stop using them.

ALAS once they are part of one world ill probably go back to them.

I swear they buy their 5* ranking I tried to write a negative review on the skytrax site and they refused to publish it, it wasnt even that bad!
