Hi, I booked online with a points reseller and saved around 70% flying return to Paris in Seat 1A.

Had a look a the seats and can't wait to fly and experience their service.

Any suggestions on seat allocation or anything else?

i would hope the points reseller is authentic.. Not sure about the legalities of 'reselling" points.

It's Legal and I booked them before for J class return to Europe for $3.9k. TG,OS & EK return.

Seat 1A or 3A i read that 1A is not the best and 3A got 3 windows.

Good luck with that. Doesn't sound legit to me.

Got the E-tickets already and I am in SQ manage booking site with correct details.

Thats a good start, but until the doors are closed there is nothing to stop SQ denying boarding, which happens.

I'm wondering what the significance of mentioning the FF points reseller bit in the OP was.

Isn't the question the same regardless if where you bought the ticket?

Are you sure its legal? Just because it worked in the past it does not guarantee it will stick in the future. From what I am reading, it appears a person is "offering" to book [I have seen these guys advertising on eBay) you a ticket using their "frequent flyer points" for money payment. Most frequent flyer programs make it clear that points cannot be "bartered" "sold" etc. There was a very recent example on this forum where a poster has booked for his friend a ticket to X destination in business class. That poster alleges that he only "charged" for the actual cost of the points and made no profit on it. That did not stop that frequent flyer program to audit his account and all of his associated accounts he was operating and terminated those accounts and forfeited the points.

Anyway, if you did you some research - easily found on this site - you will see that the $3.9k that you paid to get to Europe and back is alomst the price you could get it for. I just booked a F cl return to London from Sydney at $3.7k legitimately. Could have sucked it up and fly J for less than $2.5k ;)

I agree, and there is a risk that the original frequent flyer member who booked the tickets to cancel the reservation up to the date of departure (or even half way through) and keep the $$$

Additionally, I just find it a little odd that the OP originally didn't clarify which carrier they apparently booked the amazing deal with, or which sectors they intended to fly & which aircraft for said destination in question.
Just a thought..;)

Maybe they want you to PM them and ask for those details and then you're offered a deal? Of course that won't work until the OP can send a PM.

I assume this will be the deals where you buy points at times where bonus points are on offer. Choice of 3 programs, and multiple alliance airlines to then choose from.

Indeed the reseller could even have used these programs to buy the points and buy the tickets after adding on a margin.
