There is an existing JSA with AA for Aus-USA flights, QF probably didnt want to rock the boat. They are fast running out of friends in OW.

How so?
According to AJ, Willie Walsh suggested it was a good idea for QF to have a JSA with EK. First and foremost QF are a business and are there to make money, if it somehow strains relationships between the airline and the alliance they are in, then so be it.

For some reason it always seems to be Qantas' fault, why is it not the fault of the other carriers ever?

Why are there no codeshares from Dubai to the USA?
QF have been savaged transpac over the past few years since openskies, last thing they need is people to be choosing to go via DXB to the East coast! Particularly from PER, as the Gulf carriers are a competitive choice to get to NYC etc.

I'll be heading from PER to MIA either later this year or early next year. I'll be booking a QF code share on EK to DBX and then a EK flight into JFK, followed by a AA down to Mia.

Rumors on FT have suggested MIA has strong chance of being next US destination, so you may even be able to do single stop PER-MIA

If that is the case I will be super delighted and will be increasing my bi annually trip to Mia to annually at least.

It's DXB..........not DBX, nor DUB.
Who will be the first to end up in Ireland (or Dubbo)?
