An invitation from Lesley Grant, Qantas Customer Loyalty CEO

I just received the same invitation for the MEL event, so they're clearly staggering the invites (based on RSVP numbers for the previous invites maybe)?

I wonder what the invitation criteria are? Given the email says "You've been making the most of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and it hasn't gone unnoticed", I assume maybe points burn? Personally I reckon I've burned about 400-500k QFF points over the past 12 months (including booked-but-not-yet-flown award travel, and a 140k RTW where the passenger was my grandmother). It's definitely not linked to applying to go the to AFF SYD lunch, as I didn't apply for that.

Any other AFFers going to the MEL event? I'll be there - rather conveniently it's literally about 50 metres from my office :)

I've just received the email for the BNE event.

As a datapoint: ~4000SC's for the last 12 months; about a million points burnt (about the same "earned").

Received invite for Melb today. Interesting however my husband is also platinum but flies more than me did not get an invite.

Better enjoy it without MrPixies and really remember to rub it in.
Of course it may be because you are the master of flights on points or his invite is still coming!
Welcome to AFF Pixies!

I got one to the Syd event for 7/3/13, came in late this afternoon.

She is getting around a bit then over the next few weeks

Received my invite for Perth on 5/3 this afternoon. This is this first time I have been invited to anything in 12 years..... They must be scraping the bottom of the barrel now.

Good to know the date of the SYD event - no invite here - I wonder if current flying impacted the invite targets. I hit 4000+ SCs in the year to 30 Sep - but only 1000 since then. I have also burnt 600K points.

Got mine today for the Melbourne event on the 13/3/13 See you all at the event :D

I think you win the prize, Wafliron! Spot on, with your interpretation, I would say. :D

I received a PER invite as well - Must be because I'm flying out that morning and will be in Blackwater (Qld) that night....
