My mother and father are travelling to Melbourne from Sydney for their 25th Wedding Anniversary.

I have two questions:

1. My mother asked if she could use my QFF number to earn points is this possible?
2. Should I notify Qantas that they are travelling for a Silver Wedding Anniversay? And what could they offer?

Thanks very much for the feedback

On the subject of earning points, the answer is no unless your mother pretends to be you with the same name etc, you would be better off signing her up for QFF via Woolworths for free and then doing a family transfer of the points after the flight. As for the wedding anniversary, I would ring Qantas on their behalf with details and ask for it to be noted, but not expect anything, if something is done then its a big bonus.

1) no, the actual member has to travel to receive the points.
2) can't hurt but don't expect anything and you wont be disappointed.

Can't hurt, but every second couple travelling says it is their honeymoon etc... so don't expect anything

Something special from Qantas on a short flight.

Probably the best you will get is an announcement on the flight.

I have been on many flights and never heard such an announcement.

I did hear one day that it was one of the crews birthday and we should all wish that crew member happy birthday.

Maybe if it is a late flight and depending on CSM might get a bottle of wine.(Huge Maybe)

Scary to think our silver wedding anniversary was 10 years ago. We travelled on the day but would not expect anything from Qantas.
