I'll look into the flight details given it seems to make a difference. Did read on another blog though that OS are looking to upgrade their business class to some pretty swish seats soon (I'm not travelling until late Hune) and reputedly their food is already very good.Depends on the flight IIRC.... We certainly got the A330!

So may be swinging OS way!
Anyone with experience on OS or TK opening up extra rewards seats? Like many I've had problems with family getting a decision, the problem was were going to have to split the 4 of us up (SYD-SJJ 28 June) and 2 go OS and 2 go TK but with mucking around the 2 OS (business) seats dissappeared.
So my options are book two on the available Syd-BKK (TG) and then BKK-IST-SJJ (TK) and hope that more opens up (showing as 18 business seats available so seems possible). Or alternately book that leg on Economy (TG or OS have options to Europe and there is business availabilty internal iter-Europe flights).
Any suggestions?
Well in the end I did manage to get 4 seats TK J on the way and 4 seats on OS J on the way back, had to get 2*J and 2*F SYD-BKK. Seems a good mix to me, both OZ and TK seem very highly rated when I did some investigation so happy to try them.I couldn't get 3 seats to BEG together for August next year. Well, I could get 2 seats to BKK and then 3 seats via IST, but by the time I got organized they disapeared. With BKK flights you might want to try getting 2 seats on 10am flight and 2 seats on 4pm flight and get together in BKK.
I haven't looked at Egyptair, but apparently their product is pretty good, maybe you can get 3-4 seats to VIE via CAI.
From VIE you could buy a ticket reasonably cheap with NIKKI (AB affiliate) or perhaps rent a car and drive through Slovenia to Croatia.
Roads should be pretty good through Slovenia and Croatia, not so through Bosnia if you are planning to go to Mostar or Sarajevo. Going to Montenegro would be probably too far to drive. If you drive, I'd probably only visit Slovenia and Istria in Croatia.
Hopefully that helps a bit.
