Hello everyone :0)

I am new here and I really need some help.

I am 40 SC off becoming Silver (required by 28th February 2013) ...i know i know silver woooo big deal haha! but it is to me :)

I am flying to the US in March which will give me 70 (not useful unfortunately :(

I have around 40,000 FF points. Does anyone know the best and cheapest way to obtain the SCs I need to reach Silver?

I appreciate your assistance.

James

A quick run to CBR ex Syd in J using a sale J fare QF are likely to offer to match the DJ sale would be the way to go, should be sub $300.

(Used Mod Magic to ascertain posters location).

What about a flexi saver to MEL - I pay about $350 - $400 for the fare.

cheapest? Possibly a low Jetstar Friday Fare Frenzy with extras (I saw base fares from $18 last week).

From Sydney if you flew to NZ, Cairns, Perth or Alice Springs you would earn 20 SCs each way in discount economy. Just lookout for a sale fare to one of these places. Should be able to get them for under $200 each way. Pick somewhere you haven't been before and turn it into a weekend getaway.

Cheapest would likely be wait for a Jetstar sale. They had fares for Christchurch for $99 a few weeks ago, you'll have to add the plus bundle to get FF points. If you did fly internationally you would be able to claim back GST and/or get duty free.
