Really Markis, is that your 'mail' .....

and IC for Sanct Cove hopefully, any insdie (or outside) word on that yet ?

I have not heard what the Radisson is changing to, although I know the residents committee were voting two weeks ago, with confirmation that the IC Sanctuary Cove is going ahead, I am looking forward to keeping RA and having a hotel very close to the theme parks that I can earn points at while getting status beanies. Wonder what the owners in Brisbane think of rates at the old HI, they are down $20-30 a night now it's a traders.

My neighbour is going to seat for 2 nights at the CP Surfers Paradise (Gold Tower). She was smart enough to tell me before she is going. Time to load up her account with valid codes :D

Not a bad group of sign up codes:

I recently stayed at the IC in SIN using the family and friends code suggested by Markis10. Just check my A/c which says it was a "non-qualifying stay" and have been awarded 0 points.

Not happy after spending $1000 SGD for 3 nights.

I also registered the 6487 code for Ambassador, but that didn't happen either

Why blame Markis10? The F&F rate does not quality for PC earnings. That's pretty obvious when you make a booking. But I note that at IC Singapore for F&F you can get a 1 KING SHOPHOUSE CLUB ROOM for SGD 309.40 (down from SGD 485.00). That's a SGD 526.80 saving for a 3 night stay (all prices are ++ of course). The saving is pretty good! And a 3 night qualifying stay at IC SIN earns just 2,000 PC points (+ any bonus you qualify for). Take the savings?

I am happy to take the blame, mind you it does say points not awarded when booking! The three nights should count to free ambassador membership, I would ring and argue the toss as its a paid stay!

I am not blaming Markis10, but a simple observation that PC points are not applicable...and yes I would prefer the savings

Ahhh, yes but it is fairly well stated that the F&F rate does not earn PC points. That's the choice you have to make. Points or savings.

Commiserations! I can't find the terms for Ambassador code, but the FF rate, yes does give you savings, however I found when comparing rates the savings generally are negligible with other ways to save eg Rebates, PP card, sales etc.

Hope you still get Ambassador!

The rebates work with family and friends as well, and can be a considerable saving, for instance the HI Parra is $116 down from $160 on 7-9 Dec.

So Hyatt Sanctuary Cove become IC Sanctuary Cove from midnight 5th December, hopefully it gets an upgrade as we need more IC propertys.

Thanks to the codes here, loaded her up with 6 codes - the only one that won't trigger will be the Stay 3, Get 5. Of course, when I told her I had BOGO vouchers that I could have given her, she said she will never book again without checking with me

I'll be topping up to maintain Plat as no more stays planned for 2012!

They are expensive points, good if your just short of status but those using the codes here are unlikely to need a top up!

Didn't post for me. I queried them and they reckoned I wasn't eligible for that bonus. I couldn't find what the T&C'S were. As said before it looks like the bonus was either tied to stays at US properties and/or US residents. I could have pushed the matter, but considering I earnt 20k points for a 3 night stay, with 15% cashback and comp breakfast, I didn't really want to be too greedy! ;)
