In 12 days time I start my first ever AONE4 and in reality it's all due mainly to what I have read here and on FT. It got me thinking as to what would be on my travel bucket list and what would be on other people's. So here is my top 10. I wonder what other AFF'ers would be. They are in no particular order.

1. An Alaskan cruise.
2. LTG on Qantas.
3. A visit to the CCR at Heathrow.
4. Flying in F on Cathay Pacific.
5. Hyatt Diamond.
6. The Blue train in South Africa.
7. Kruger.
8. F suites on Singapore.
9. The northern lights.
10. An Antarctica cruise.

Numbers 3,4 and 5 will happen on this trip - number 2 will be very close.

My bucket list constantly changes but would love to visit The Concorde Museum in NYC.

Trip to Antartica and also Kruger National park has always been on my list.

Would like to do Great Wall of China

My top ten would be (highlighting the common ones). Note that my list is subject to change frequently

1. An Alaskan cruise.
2. LTG on Qantas.

3. Long Haul F on a decent carrier
4. Rail journey through the Rockies
5. Pyramids
6. Trek to places of significance in the family tree (i.e. visit where my ancestors came from)
7. Grand Canyon and surrounds
8. Experience zero gravity

9. The northern lights.
10. An Antarctica cruise.

so many things to do, both with family and seperately with friends.
Bike tour with Tour de France
Ski more of USA / canada
bike tour vietnam
Long haul F
Go back above the artic circle and this time see the northern lights
Climb Kilimanjero

Having just been there, I would add Bora Bora to that list. Exceeded all expectations.... and i am difficult to please :)

Am also wanting to do the Northern Lights & the Alaskan Cruise... hopefully in the next 12 mths....

I'm ticking off a few on our trip to Europe next March, but unfortunately our cruise won't stop in Alexandra due to security issues, so Egypt will remain at number 1. Apart from that Russia will be very high up.

Having just returned from Victoria Falls and Kruger National Park, my initial bucket list will be completed this month with my upcoming trip to Easter Island and Machu Picchu . I'm now creating my second bucket list (and in no particular order) includes Antarctica, Cuba, Russia (Moscow & St Petersburg, Rwanda (see Gorillas), Pyramids in Egypt, Petra, Safari in Serengeti Tanzania, maybe North Korea, Nepal......

[OT]:- So where is the TR & photos? :)
I have been to both (as a former resident in Jo'burg), as well as Kenya - Tanz, but for me Etosha in Namibia was the best game park. But all the African parks are impressive

A few from my bucket list:

- Africa
- Prague
- Fly F long haul
- Drive on autobahn at high speed
- Drive Gibb River Road (hope to do this next year with a couple of mates)

Are you referring to the BA Concorde at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space museum? Did this a couple of months ago - was very interesting! Even more so, that my gf at the time had actually flown on a BA Concorde!

Yes that is the one.

Hope it is still all there and not damaged.

Going to Vegas in Feb for a wedding so am doing over to see it for a day or so. Time is against me on that trip.

Last time I wrote my bucket list, I think it had about 35 items on it. Mine includes Rwanda and safari (2013 fingers crossed), Galapagos, learning Spanish (for Spain, Central and South America) and some food travel combos like eating Peking duck in Beijing.

It is so easy for life to fly by so it's important to call out some bucket list goals as something to plan towards and look forward to :)

I'd love to follow Len Beadell's tracks from the red center to the red north west.

Also to go faster than sound.

Sent from the Throne

Just of the top of my head

1. Naadam festival
2. Easter Island
3. Go dividing at Manado
4. Take the trans-mongolian/trans-siberian from Beijing to Moscow
5. Cocos Islands
6. Niue
7. Tour of Chernobyl and Pripyat
8. Safari in Africa
9. Colombo
10. Northern Lights

Antarctica is top of my list. There are many other wishes but too many and varied to list. Re the OP, I have cruised the Alaska coast and it remains the most spectacular scenery I have witnessed (and I have extensively toured NZ Southern Alps and Norway - they are brilliant but Alaska is better).

For me,

1. Train ride on Venice-Simplon Orient Express from Venice to London
2. HON status on LH
3. SQ PPS Solitare
4. Virgin Galactic
5. Stay in that Hilton underwater suite in Maldives
6. Do a *RTW in J
7. Get the hyatt courtesy card
8. Bhutan
9. Go to Lapland in Finland
10. Get SG on velocity

Fortunately No. 10 is coming true soon

In no particular order:

1. Golf at Royal County Down, St Andrews and Bethpage Black (and many others along the way)
2. Russia
3. Cuba
4. Aussie Cricket tour of the West Indies
5. Live in Hawaii for 12 months.

For me:

1. Galapagos Islands
2. Ayers Rock / Uluru
3. Broome
4. F in CX & SQ
5. Orient Express

... would be top 5

1. LTG on QF (will be 75% there after this weekend!)
2. The Marquesas
3. Montreux and Berne
4. Berlin
5. Live in Paris for a few months

I can thoroughly recommend an Alaskan cruise and F on CX (F on QF is pretty good also) :)
