If they are going to charge you the fee for the nab platinum card you'd be better off getting the westpac earth due to its lower fee, and keep the EDR card.

I had looked at that. The 35k points from nad does look pretty good though! But it does give me something else to look at.

What you say makes sense.

But you should be able to decide how many cards you should have in your possession. Don't go for 2 cards from the one bank.

I'm not really sure how it all works. I think if you are in a marginal category for a card they can refuse you if you don't meet certain criteria.

I will be in touch with them this week and see how it goes.
