I'm surprised that TT allowed this to go to air actually as the new series was clearly filmed prior to the shutdown as you can see flights to MCY & HBA on the screens in the background. They haven't restarted either yet, though HBA is coming in Nov '12.

Since the CASA enforced re-launch TT's OTP seems to be great as well. IIRC the web check in was not up to standards and CASA asked them to stop using it hence why it's being rebuilt from the ground up. I hope TT are a success as we need them to be now that VA have gone upmarket, otherwise JQ will have no competition = higher fares overall!

Airways is only on due to a legal contract. It will be the final series. Why do you say don't fly tiger because of a tv show?

Nice trip report.

I must give Tiger a try one day. I was just about to book BNE-SYD before their operations halted and I do not think this route is up and running now.

So you're interested in giving Tiger a go, but not Jetstar?

Not to derail the TR, but I believe it's something to do with the principle of giving them business when they're taking away QF flights, if he takes just one flight they'll have won, so he doesn't or something similar.
