This may seem strange but are J passengers able to get the banana bread off the normal menu.. ontop of their regular offering? I've found it quite nice down the back of the bus!
Ive heard that VA have just launched a 'refreshed' Economy menu today, which does not include Banana Bread. Anyone know what else is new/different?

I have a flight on Saturday, I'll check it out.
I hope the moorish nuts are still on it!

Re: Virgin Australia Business Class Catering - Service, Meal times, Menus

The new menu has the return of the pringles, ham cheese tomato sandwich and egg/lettuce sandwiches. Banana bread is still on as are morish nuts. Cheese and crackers still on dropped to $4 and M&M's / Maltesers / GF Cookie down to $3-.
Luke mangan sadwich and pies remain.
The muesli bar is back $3- and the Breakfast cereal / Milk is back.

Soft drink is back to coke from pepsi and Baileys joins the spirits mini's.

This makes the VA product more attractive for me now.
I hate Pepsi.
I assume it will be the same in the J cabin.

Hooray ....no more Pepsi! Good move Virgin.

Black death is the real thing. I noticed there was cereal and milk in the flexi meal on Monday morning. What is this obsession with stinking cereal by airlines. Last thing I want to do early in the morning on a bouncing aircraft is try to put spoons of milk into my mouth. The risk of spilling it down my front is just too great.

So we've been 'refreshed' all the way back to 2009 and the good old days pre-celebrity chefs onboard. Glad to see the return of both the egg and lettuce and ham sammiches. I much prefer those to Luke Mangans salty pickle thing.

Well people complained about the old menu, then they changed it!!! suprise, people complained about the new menu!!! I guess that is why they let you take your own food on board.

Cereal and milk is a breakfast basic and it's great to see it on a domestic menu. I'll be asking for that next time I fly in J, on a breakfast flight

Without seeing the full menu, a ham/cheese croissant as a breakfast item (warmed) would be a great move

Any change to the current menu is great though!

They already offered cereal in J as well. At least they did on my last J breakfast flight a few weeks ago.

That is disgraceful. If I was a FA I would be ashamed to serve cereal to J passengers.

Umm it's served on NZ/QF/SQ/EK in J to name a few......

Yes, on some of the above listed carriers I have had cereal an option between it and a warm breakfast, however not the only choice.
But in in my experience on 3< hour DJ Business there is generally only one meal option.

It was gourmet, toasted cereal. BTW I didn't actually say it was the only option. Sorry for any confusion.

Well of course, that's a totally different discussion

If DJ just serve a bowl of corn flakes then that's not good at all

I rarely take a breakfast flight, in-fact, can't remember the last one I have taken on DJ

I have never done it either.
But I have one on Saturday!
