I assume the only way to get on an A380 on Emirates is to fly to Dubai?

Only ratty looking J product on 777??

Emirates also flies from Sydney to Auckland on the A380. I think it's EK418 that arrives from Bangkok. There is a thread titled 'Emirates questions' that may be more appropriate.

If you are in Asia, you can also fly the EK A380 between Bangkok and Hong Kong.
