Does status or Money make you arrogant ?

Does arrogance come with Age ... or rather do we accept arrogance from someone older then ourselves because its expected and less annoying then from a 'young buck'?

Some people do accept it, I dont find it an excuse at all.

I was once labelled arrogant - in fact it was in an email I received from my USA distributor shortly after I ended our relationship - he said and I quote - "you are arrogant, deceitful and dishonest".

I showed it to Cruiserette - she said this is an incorrect statement - he left out immoral.

I think these wise words are the most appropriate:
As long as you love me
We could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke
As long as you love me
I'll be your platinum, I'll be your silver, I'll be your gold

By J Bieber
:p

But but but... how could I love anyone that has less than Platinum ;)

(and definitely not love anyone that knows the actual lyrics to a J Beaver song (intentionally misspelled).

This suggests that PrincessFiona either has a teenage daughter or is a Justin Beaver groupie. :p

I mostly pay cash or use a debit card, got rid of my high end c'cards as a waste of money.

My bag tag is an AFF one!

Staying low key is my mantra.

Having family members and friends that deal regularly with people who measure their wealth in billions it seems reasonable to say that a certain degree of arrogance can be portrayed by these extremely wealthy people. However is it just their guarded nature and desire not to have favours asked of them? In some instances I think it is, in others it isn't and that particular person is a total douche. So I'd suggest that arrogance/dud behaviour probably occurs along a distribution curve not related to money.

Personally, as a reasonably newly minted WP who has just been OS via Sydney, I enjoyed the perks i was entitled to (especially the Black Forrest in a Glass at the F lounge. Wow that was good!!!). Given the fact that my (5yo) daughter and I made sure we helped the attendant clean up our sitting area (as a lesson to Miss 11 about not leaving a mess behind. FYI it involved restacking a few magazines) I don't think we'd be considered arrogant.

All this has reminded me that my mother labelled me supercilious at about the age of 20 to 23. (which is f'ing way f'ing better than mere arrogant - so suffer in your jocks!) Having had very little money by then, I think you must be born with it. Some things money can't buy!

Okay, long time reader, first time poster.

Just come back from SCL on QF28 and there was a delay of 45 minutes for boarding. So, there were 3 lines waiting to get onto the plane, Eco, Prem and 'assisted boarding'. It was funny to watch those with status who were willing to wait in the Prem line and those who tried to (unashamedly) sully up to the front of the assisted boarding line with a lot of DYKWIA. The two main groups were older 'well dressed' couples and very well dressed middle-aged business types (no jeans) - just my observations.

I'm not intake least bit arrogant, elitist, etc.

Hey, I'm even OK with mixed marriages!

I'm WP and Mrs Paddy is NB and we get on fine! :)
