WoW Melbourne - was that an Earth quake?

Just heard there was an earthquake in the northern suburbs of MEL. Anyone else feel this?

Hopefully no damage.

Listening to 3AW on line and it seems the earth tremor was wide spread but no reports of damage.

Sitting in the HSW Exec lounge and the floor just shook. Seems Melbourne just experienced an earthquake ... even the regular lounge staff regocnised the shaking .....

We had it is Sale.

Supposedly the epicentre was in (near) Warragul.

.... and pictures fell off walls as far east as Bairnsdale.

My friend in Keilor (north of MEL) SMSed me and told me he felt it.

Reported as a 5.2, 11km south of Moe.

We felt it in Maribyrnong, the house moved from side to side, quite an eerie feeling, don't expect an earthquake in Melbourne!

Felt it in Shepparton 3630 -- dog didnt react! but the chair swayed and the power lines were swaying// lets blame it on the carbon tax ! LOL

Definitely felt it in Black Rock. I was snoozing in bed watching TV and the bed started shaking and doors and windows rattled. Everyone in the house felt it!

Just up the river from you in Southbank, building shook..... Friend in North Fitzroy felt it as well

Funny neither did our dog, continued sleeping on her bed in the lounge room... I thought dogs are meant to sense an earthquake before it happens?

My internet has gotten really slow since the Earthquake in Victoria. I suspect my ISP has significant infrastructure in VIC, which is now being congested by people jumping on the Interwebs...
