I have just read on Facebook that NAB has a new credit card account in line with the new redone fly buys - how would I find more information about this card? What do people on here know about the card. I think that I might have to pop into my local branch tomorrow morning!

I don't really know the answer. But i did get a note during the week with my current NAB credit card statement to say that it would no longer be possible to link one of the existing NAB card to flybuys after 30 June (or something like that). Sorry to say I didn't pay much attention as it didn't apply to me and I've chucked it out.

I thought this might mean they were pulling out of flybuys. But I guess it could mean a new card is coming.

Sent from the Throne

I have the NAB low fee card, will have to wait to see what happens. I hope that they dont pull out of flybuys - all of my car related expenses is churned through this card and my fly buys account has increased a lot in points.

I just rang up the call centre - the product launch is Monday 23/04/2012

They launched the card today. Nab.com.au/flybuys and there's a 10K flybuys points offer running atm.

I think it's worthwhile getting this card as the annual fee is only $65 and the 10k points you'll receive is worth about $50 Coles voucher. So you won't lose out much in applying for this card.

You get 5 type of insurance benefits like travel insurance overseas/interstate and extended warranty.

I've told my mum about this offer and she is really interested.

Anyone thinking of applying for this card?

I am thinking of getting the card, I am currently on CBA Diamond Awards Card as my main card. The card looks like a nice upgrade but I do like my lower annual fee that I currently have, I only charge $300ish a month (more if I go away) to my NAB Low Fee Card. I already pay $250.00 for my Diamond so wait and see.

Seeing Dawn French all over the Fly Buys promotions makes me wonder how much they paid her and how much they paid in advertising fees to the networks.

Anyone notice the cap? $100,000 per month. Thinking of Cove with this one?

Yes it's surprising to see Dawn French fronting the ad all over the TV and be paid to say all the nice things. I thought it was quite funny to see her promoting flybuys.

But really kudos to Coles for improving the earn rate on flybuys alone. No more 2 points for every 5 dollar. It's now 1:1. And with this new credit card you can double dip for points.

Great card for low spenders in my opinion and I'm not fussed about the 100k points cap that medhead mentioned.

Dawn French has done so much - why not add an Australian Loyality Program to her resume! After having a think about it I am going to try and upgrade my card to this one.

Wow that was quick.

Just a question about your low fee nab card. Was it attached to flybuys?

So nab just did a product transfer over the phone for you?

Yes my NAB Low fee card was attached to my Fly Buys - I just got a product transfer over the phone and elected to get my card delivered to the local branch to where I work. It was a 10 minute process - really quick and easy.

Now I am a little dissapointed with NAB... after all this, one week after having the product transfer the card gets "lost", after I rang up to see what is going on with the card (i.e. if it is at the branch) I am told that the new card is lost and needs to be reissued. That part went well or so I thought - until I went to Coles to use my card that I already have only to find out that my card keeps on declining because the person that I spoke to cancelled my existing card that was in my wallet as well as the lost card!

Things went from bad to worse after ordering the new card for the 2nd time, I went to the branch yesterday to pick up the card only to be given my first card (low fee) back instead of getting the new fly buys card.... After having the teller do the run around she then proceeded to tell me that there is nothing on my history saying that I even did a product transfer in the first place, I had a ton of work on so I left the branch with my Low Rate card instead of the new FlyBuys card.

@fantasy86dj

That's really disappointing to hear from NAB. I hope you can ring up the contact centre to get a resolution perhaps.

It sounds like someone within NAB may have forgotten to properly process your product transfer/migration.

My sister applied for the flybuys credit card last week so I'm waiting to see how long it will take her to receive her card. It's still in the processing stages and she hasn't been asked yet for support documents/ID yet being her very first application for credit.

I hope that your sister gets a great result from the bank - oh how I remember my first credit card. I am going to deal with NAB on Friday morning before I go to work.

Does anyone else have any feedback on this card? We are thinking of swapping to it but cant choose out of this or the qantas frequent flyer card...
