We will be completing a trip from Adelaide to Darwin in Sept 2012. Likely to spend a couple of nights in Darwin prior to flying to Sydney. Any suggestions of where to stay? We are mid 50's & if sharing a room would need to have 2 bathrooms.

Quest in town are good, or even the Mantra on the esplanade. It's likely to be expensive being the dry!

Try the argus apartments for 2bdrm self contained rooms.

Not really sure what the rates are like in September, but I always recommend the Crowne Plaza in Darwin, it's very hard to beat IMO. Check it out, you might get two rooms for less than an apartment. I have paid (albeit in wet season) south of $90 a night there before.

Around $400 a night, good time to use a PP BOGO. Nice enough hotel but small pool and poor parking, I do like the ice machine on every floor though, a throwback to when it was the Sheraton.
