Well I purchased seven vouchers and used the first one today. Quite an easy process and I saved the $7.70 domestic booking fee.

Well worth it and the bonus points will be good.

Likewise, purchased two vouchers and used the first one today, painless and simple - couldn't be happier. I don't know why, but not having to pay the credit card surcharge for the remainder of the fare was inordinately pleasant!:D

Reminds me the domestic sale finishes tomorrow so time to use some of my vouchers while the flights are cheap! ;)

Has anyone actually had the points credited to their QFF as yet? QF saying eight weeks.. surely not that long?

Up to 8 weeks to credit. I'm not even looking for these points until Feb/March.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

There is one small drawback with the vouchers. Need to add the FF number to the booking.

When I first booked it only offered me row 19 back on a 737 and for a minute I thought I was in trouble! :p

No haven't received them yet either. The recent bonus points offer said it could take up to 6 weeks to get the points, that only took a few days for each flight for me. 8 weeks just seems like a long time! I understand though if they are processing them manually it could take that time just to go through the vouchers from the peeps on AFF....

I haven't followed this thread, and it doesn't look like this was mentioned so might be a helpful hint.

The first thing I do when I book QF gift vouchers (which are just dummy bookings) is log on to the BA my booking page (ba.com) just using the booking/voucher reference and your surname. Once you're on your 'booking', in the list of options on the page there will be one to add your frequent flyer information. Add your QF number and you're done, this is also a good way to add such info for compensations and other messed up bookings.

The gift vouchers are dummy bookings for the lesser known Qantas flight QF9090, from Winter Haven to Vichadero (GCMAP).

Once you've added your QF number onto the booking you should immediately find it now listed on the QF my bookings when you login with your QFF#. Sneakily the QF computer recognises the cunning combinations of airports as a gift voucher. Clicking View/Change takes you to the voucher booking page. This way you never lose track of your gift vouchers!

Tip of the month!

:idea::idea::idea:

Great idea; it's been a pain keeping track of these vouchers ...

The flight is from "Winter Haven", Fl (GIF) to Vichadero, Uy (VCH)

So the segment is GIF-VCH :D

Can fellow members keep us newbie's updated as and when they get the points credited for this voucher offer.

Thanks

Awesome tip! I've just completed entering my vouchers (all 12 of them!) and they now all show up under "Your Bookings". Sweet - MUCH easier to keep track of them now.
