Hey all.

Wondering if anyone has any experience comparing between the Hilton and Westin at Whistler?

I've stayed at the Westin before (with no status) and loved it......

But now with HH status, and a $75/night price difference between the two (in Hilton's favour thanks to the current weekends promo), I'm faced with a conundrum as to which to book.......

Have read up comments on FT and TA - but value AFF opinions highly if there are any.

Thanks in advance.

At the Hilton, with Honors Gold or Diamond, you would get complimentary breaky and plus the $75pn costs savings would have swayed me. That said I have stayed at neither but am heading that way at the end of this year.

As loathe as I am to suggest it, there's probably reviews on FT (assuming you havent searched there already).

Yeah - and it's a very close call..... But I think Alan's right..... The saving is substantial when you add breakfast into the mix.

It's the other side of the world, but the Hilton Niseko is tops.

Last 5 days have been beautiful powder days, and it's dumped every night. The sun even came out once or twice for some beautiful views over the valley and of Mt Yotei.

Only 3 days left here, however. :(

Never been to Whistler so let us know which you choose and which one is better. The ski valet and ski-in/out location has me spoilt here though, so if they aren't ski in and out I won't be going...

Both are as close to ski-in ski-out as you can get pretty much.

1st time was two years ago at the Westin and I was spoiled - fantastic.

Last year saved some cash and stayed at the other end of the village and hated the trek up and back everyday. Spent the time wishing I was at the Westin/Hilton.

So this time I'm not considering any other options ;)

After a day on the hill you might consider visiting 'Ingrids' in the centre of the village (Village Stroll). They have fantastic homemade soups/foods etc which is great after a full day skiing.

Thanks Maca - I don't remember seeing Ingrid's last time so I'll check it out :)

Dammit!!

I hate having too many choices.....

The Fairmont has an amazing sale on which is undercutting both the Hilton and the Westin.........

Saving money is getting in the way of loyalty ;)

Bumpity-bump !
Anyone with any recent experience of either of these hotels in Whistler?
Looking to stay mid Jan, for 2 adults 4 kids. Both Shrek and I are HH Diamond. SPG nothing.
Any other recommendations for accommodation in the village ?

Stayed at Hilton this last Feb. used points to upgrade to Whistler Junior Suite. (Didn't receive upgrade at checkin - but hotel apologized and credited 10,000 points after I raised it).

Free breakfast, nice pool, spa, sauna (as does the Westin).

I really liked the Hilton, but then again I really liked the Westin.

Free breakfast and free Internet at Hilton may very well sway it (as could price).

I'd be happy with either!
