Luke was on tonight's virgin flight from Syd to Mel. Sitting in 1D I heard the CSM talking about him in row 16.
Unfortunately they didn't quite have time to do a complete service , due to the extra flexible fare meal tray service and Mr mangan row and one before him missed out :(

I was looking forward to knowing what he might choose off his own menu... :)

Devils in the detail..... As I said.... Luke was in row 16...(not PE) but thanks for doubting anyway... :)

The CSM served PE, the other 3 attendants served the flexible meals and then they all started the Y service ..... I overheard the attendants also commenting about the pilot requiring numerous things. They had to pause the service 3 times as to stand in front of the pilots door while the FO went in out or they took meals and drinks in and out.
They commented that many pilots take the attitude that "if you have any spare time after the cabin service then serve the pilots" .... But not this pilot and FO and the extra person in the coughpit jumpseat....

Another compounding factor was the earlier flight had been cancelled, and this flight was full (with flexible fare passengers that had been moved from earlier)....,

So the combination of all these factors made it a long and unfinished service....
