I personally use Jetabroad a lot. I even tell my friends overseas about them and they have been able to get some very good fares europe to oz which they could not get back in europe.

So how does it work? do these sites get overseas prices and give it to us Aussies?

these sites work as an online travel agent - rather than going to a Flight Centre and talking to a girl who does not tell Emirates from Etihad, you go online and look for fares

Jetabroad is good, especially for some "exotic" airlines that majors (Expedia, Orbitz and the like) might not show - e.g. 5N - but Jetabroad prices are higher as they include a booking fee that is not explicitly advertised but rather included in the price

Probably due to the fact that bookings cannot be made on it.

Have to say though, just tried a dummy booking on Jetabroad for a SIN-SYD-SIN Y flight in late Oct... it's trying to charge me $1,884.45 SGD, while QF's website is offering $868.90 SGD... I suppose it doesn't always work.

Thats probably because the QF website is accessing a 'for sale in SIN only" fare bucket which Jetabroad would not have access to.

Perhaps... although non-sale "super saver" fares are still only at $1132 on QF's website.

Ahhh... the art of pricing. My favourite topic!

Have a few products which are very low cost and put them in obvious locations. The consumer will then assume that because 1 product is cheap, the rest must be too. All aggregators work in the same fashion.
