The real purpose of this brief trip report is in part to answer a question I posed last week. "can a jetsaver booking from a group booking be upgraded on demand should space be available"

The only post said no. So not looking forward to the trip I turned up knowing I had been allocated middle seats in a set of 4. In any event arrived I arrived at -3hours as they opened up - and starclass was full. i did at least re-allocate to a window.

Coming back I was in luck. You can upgrade from a group booking, it cost 7000 bht or approx $220 AUD. i took one - the service in starclass has moved up a notch or 2. Although being the last to be served - all 3 choices were available for dinner. Cheese, biscuits and fruit were served separately from a trolley. The crew told me today was the first implementation of this.

I was able to sleep well and the $220 will be very well spent if/when the miles and SC's post
