No news hype machine into overdrive today! Another top story on QF.

THE next time you want to book a seat next to your partner or children on an international Qantas flight be prepared to pay up for the privilege. The airline has begun charging economy passengers $20 per person per leg of the journey to select a seat via its website.
Those who want to avoid the fee will have to request a seat upon arriving at the airport, taking the risk that there may not be enough free seats left to be able sit beside loved ones.

This story proves what uber-douches News are.

Quick, let's get people arked up about a non-existent issue, that'll sell some paper and advertising space online.

Lol it seems the unwashed masses are hanging on every word nonews tells them... You have to realise though, these commenters are the 'frequent flyers' that travel once every 2-3 years.

Edit: I'd love to see how these people would last flying in the LOTFAP, it would be comments galore!

nonews really are living up to their namesake! I mean, seriously! To conclude that pax on the same booking will be spread out across the plane if they don't pay $20 each is just crazy talk. For pax who are not currently eligible for seat selection, how is this any different??

Also if the plane falls from the sky I would like to know that I spent the last moments next to a loved one.....

Seriously - this is a seat booking consideration???

Qantas Seat Selection

Use points for seat selection? And the amount varies between flights...

Interesting that you can now do seat selection (domestically) even if you're a NB. I've always had problems with seat selection, if I use my QFF points for a classic redemption, even though I have OWS (AA Plat).

Noted that they havent publish my - Nothing has really changed, happy for all these people not to fly QF - more seats for me comments......
