Hi guys,

Much difference between the two? We are departing from T3 I believe, but could go for a wander if justified.

Cheers!
Mat.

You wont be able to get into T5 if departing from T3.

T5 is much larger, lighter and airier but the actual offerings are fairly similar.

If able to access the F lounge there is a decent cook to order selection in T5 and no dining service in T3.

I have to agree with simongr - T3 is a poor cousin compared to T5 (their flag-ship, so nothing else can match it, I suppose). The dining experience in F lounge is very good - but they struggle even with a breakfast in T3 - and as for a barrista coffee - standby for the sound of the machine making it on auto.

Somewhat off the topic: Have worked out it is better to stay and have the breakfast on offer at the hotel than a T3 offering. In regards to Heathrow hotels, I find that the Marriott Renaissance to be quite good for an airport hotel - for 100 pounds a night can have dinner, bed and breakfast. We used to make use of the Sheraton Heathrow - but it is so shabby and tattered - needs a thorough upgrade - and even the Club lounge is tiny and pokey and 4th rate.

There was a cook to order dining menu in the T3 F lounge in September. The buffet selection was also reasonable. I haven't been there more recently than that so unsure if it's changed.

I was there in October and although it was too early for lunch, there were menus about.

Apologies - I meant that there are no dining seats as such. T5 has at least some bench style seating.
