Does anyone know the flight numbers SYD/MEL - AKL that operate the upgraded 737 aircraft with the new J Class interior?

I prefer these to the std OZ fleet, but not sure how to determine the flights they are assigned to.

New Boeing 737-800
Since September 2009 the first three of a new fleet of 31 x 737-800 aircraft configured with 12 Business and 156 Economy commenced flying. The first 6 aircraft will operate on selected routes between Australia and New Zealand and subsequent deliveries will support the existing domestic 737-800 fleet from 2012.
The aircraft features a new seating design styled by Marc Newson and state-of-the-art, on-demand inflight entertainment from Panasonic. Business Customers will enjoy Qantas' exclusive wide seatback design with a 37" seat pitch and 22" width between arms. Seats have a 10.6" in-arm Inflight Entertainment touch-screen, extendable leg rest with fold-out footrest, PC power and USB port, coughtail table and ergonomic cushions. Economy customers will have a 9" seat-back Inflight Entertainment touch-screen, individual USB port, four-way adjustable headrest and ergonomic cushions.
Inflight Entertainment in both cabins has more than 300 entertainment options: movies, TV shows, CDs, library, games, audio books, Q radio channels, children's section and seat-to-seat "chat" messaging, It also includes Qantas ' exclusive interactive Lonely Planet Guides as featured on the A380.

It's not always the same flights but generally the morning flights from Auckland to Sydney are the new aircraft, as are the first flights from Sydney to Auckland.

One of the flights is operated with a 737-800 is a Qantas aircraft and that's usually the lunchtime flight from Sydney to Auckland and the evening flight back to Sydney from Auckland. This is one without the new product.

The easiest way to find out though if you have a new aircraft:

If the flight is operated by Jetconnect and is a 737-800, it will be a new aircraft

If the flight is operated by Qantas and is a 737-800 it will be an older aircraft without the new IFE and seats.

I was on QF134 (20:50 departure) Saturday night: Jetconnect 737-800 new aircraft. Business seats not that comfortable IMHO (but always better than Y)

Yeah, I wasn't impressed. The IFE system is nice, but the screen is very badly located and affects meal service etc. The seats weren't that much of an improvement over the usual 738 seats either.

But everyone has different opinions. Of course Emirates J on the A380 (at a cheaper price), is probably a MUCH better option if people want to experiment and share their air fares around.

The Air NZ B373 space+ seat on CHC-AKL had more leg room. Went across MEL-AKL on Air NZ B777 in Business: big difference in the seats.

I thought all Syd-AKL Qantas(JC) 737 flights were the next gen fit outs.

I haven't had anything but the new birds on that route for months and months now and I fly every 2 weeks.

I know that some of the older 734 Qantas (JC) still operate Mel-AKL... But they have handheld AVOD.

The next gen 73H's are great, I prefer them to the millennium seats for sure :) have a good trip!

I enjoyed my flight on ANZ on the 773. I had 1B and you could see out the window from across the aisle, whereas the A seated mob couldn't. This was their Herringbone config.
