Hi All,

I remember reading somewhere that in order to guest someone into the F Lounge as a WP, you must be on the same flight. Is that true?

"Must be travelling onwards that day on a Qantas, British Airways, Jetstar or oneworld flight number.# One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member."

Does this mean you have to be on the same flight?

Shrek has taken a work colleague traveling to same destination into the Flounge. He was traveling BA F, colleague QF PE not sure if his F boarding pass allowed a guest on a different flight?

In my experience the same flight rule is strictly enforced for access to the First class lounge.

Different rules for First Class passengers.

Qantas Lounge Access First Class Passenger said:
Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas or British Airways flight number.

One guest permitted.

Also, a non QF oneworld Emerald can simply have one guest.

Qantas Frequuent Flyer have this different rule for their own Elites, just like AAdvantage have something different for theirs in relation to A/C access.

Are they as strict in the JAL or CX lounges? I'm assuming you can guest one into those lounges as a OWE.

Do take note that each QF First Class lounge (or any lounge for that matter) may interpret the rules differently and different people may have different experiences from time to time.

From personal experience SYD First Class lounge is very strict and on the other side of the coin I remember last year a QF Partner Gold and wife were able to enter the SIN QF First Lounge on arrival into SIN with a Platinum in transit.

And then you hear stories like the QF Platinum who was escorted out of the LHR BA First Class Lounge earlier this year.
