Howdy folks. My wife is flying back to the US next month on Delta SYD-LAX-onward. We're in Canberra right now, and I was looking at getting her a flight from CBR-SYD, if it would save her having to deal with baggage transfers in Syd.

Does Delta have any interline agreement with Virgin Blue for the domestic Aus market? I know they have something with V Australia, but not sure about the any domestic Aus flights.

Cheers.

I seem to recall a post from crazydave98 discussing future plans for DJ and codeshare arrangements (assuming this would include interlining) with Delta.

This thread may provide more information even though it may not be up to date as it is 15 months old.

If you have already booked your Delta ticket and now looking at making a separate booking on Virgin Blue to connect, interlining won't help. You need to make a single booking for yourself and your baggage to be checked all the way through. Without knowing what type of fare you have bought you could look at rebooking, but I doubt the change fee would make it worthwhile.

cheers
